Junior Chess
Our Junior chess club meets every Wednesday from 5:30pm to 7pm at Guppy's Enterprise Club
Juniors are split into groups based on experience with coaching and games tailored to suit
Many of our junior go on to represent Yorkshire and get the opportunity to take part in junior congresses
We have a junior team in the York and District midweek league to allow our players to make the step up to adult competitive chess

Sacha Brozel - FIDE Accredited National Instructor
Since age 6, I’ve taken huge pleasure in playing chess both competitively and socially.
My achievements include winning the London Under 8 and the British Under 9, 10 and 11 chess championships and representing England on 12 occasions.
I now relish the opportunity to coach the next generation of players. Having taught in London for several years at my childhood chess club Barnet Knights, I run York Junior Chess Club.
